C & S International Insurance Brokers, Inc. C & S is an independent insurance brokerage that specializes in coverage for media, entertainment, performing arts, theatrical productions, venues and related businesses.

Founded in 1987, the New York-based firm opened under the name of Coulter & Sands Inc. with two employees including owner Debra Kozee. The firm's first clients included superstars Patti LaBelle and Willie Nelson, as well as the internationally renowned Boys Choir of Harlem. In addition to film, tape and electronic production, the firm provides theatrical production insurance for On Broadway and Off-Broadway, National tours and Regional Theatre. In 1994, C & S designed a special discounted liability risk purchasing program with The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (ART/NY), an off-Broadway advocacy and support group which is still active today. C & S also handles a variety of other not-for-profit theatrical and performing arts companies and various other none profit organizations.

C & S works with many independent film and video producers primarily in the genre of documentaries and other fact based entertainment television. In addition, the firms handles feature films, corporate video and live event production, commercial production companies and educational media.

C & S clients include many other entertainment-related and media companies such as theatres, magazine publishers, web-sites, studios, post production facilities and venues including nightclubs.

A sister company Events Insurance Brokers LLC (www.eventsinsurance.com) handles insurance for almost any type of short term special events project such as concerts, theatrical productions, parades benefit parties, fairs, exhibitions and conferences.
