Disc Jockeys, DJs & Live Bands

When hiring entertainment (bands, DJs, or other entertainers) for your Trade Show, Convention or event, make sure you know what you're getting. Ask for an audio or video recording of a recent gig. If you have the time, ask about an upcoming event, and go see the act in person. Ask for a list of recent clients and give them a call.   If you decide to hire entertainment, live bands or disc jockeys for your event through an event planner or an agent, it's generally a good idea to speak directly to the talent to make sure you're comfortable with them. Find out the cost of the talent and how much the agent is taking off the top.
