Kama'aina Kids

Hawaii’s leading childcare provider Kama‘aina Kids, Hawaii’s enrichment and education professionals provide convention childcare services throughout the United States. Their staff is first aid CPR certified, fingerprinted and all have passed FBI background checks. The 10-year track record of the organization includes convention childcare for groups of 50 up to 520 children.

“We have discovered that by providing convention childcare services for the National Medical Association’s annual conventions has expanded their event into a planned family affair,” explains Kathy Hew, V.P. Convention Services. Preliminary program activities are carefully selected with the goal of providing a wide range of age-appropriate, educational, social and cultural experiences unique to each convention city and to the group of children for whom the company is providing service.

In the past four years, Kama‘aina Kids has been contracted to manage “Camp NMA-zing” which is the childcare program for conventioneers of the National Medical Association. Cities include San Diego, New York, Dallas and Honolulu. “Kama‘aina Kids provides such a phenomenal experience for our kids and families. The Aloha spirit shines through their professional staff. Kama‘aina Kids has accreditations from the American Camp Association (ACA) and National Early Childhood Program Association (NECPA) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), this commitment to accredit these programs ensures the highest quality standards set by the childcare industry for safety, programming and staffing. Kama‘aina Kids is a member of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) and the National After School Association (NASA).
