The Georgia World Congress Center

Welcome to the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta's world-renowned convention center. Our unique 200-acre campus is designed to exceed your convention, trade show, sporting and special event needs for groups of all sizes. Equally important, our dedicated and experienced staff is eager to assist you in every way to guarantee the success of your event.

Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the Georgia World Congress Center hosts a multitude of conventions, trade shows and corporate events each year. Together with the 71,250-seat Georgia Dome and 21-acre Centennial Olympic Park, the three facilities comprise one of the largest convention, sports, and entertainment complexes in the world.

The Georgia World Congress Center is composed of three buildings (Buildings A, B and C). Building A, built in 1976, contains 3 exhibit halls (340,000 square feet), 27 meeting rooms and the 1,740-seat Sidney Marcus Auditorium. The two-level Sidney Marcus Auditorium is the perfect setting for speeches, award presentations and entertainment events.

Building B, built in 1985 and expanded in 1992, contains five exhibit halls (607,500 square feet), 47 meeting rooms, the 33,000 square-foot Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom and a variety of amenities situated in the vast entrance lobby. The famous Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom has hosted Presidential addresses, theatrical productions, corporate parties, five-course dinners and everything in between. The ballroom comfortably accommodates 2,560 for dinner and 4,500 in theater-style arrangements. It is easily divided into three rooms and offers a world-class 2,280-square-foot stage with expert in-house staff to operate the state-of-the art audio-visual system. Guests will enjoy an 8,000-square-foot pre-function space, fully equipped dressing rooms and private access for VIPs and guest speakers.

The GWCC's latest expansion, Building C, was completed in 2002. The state-of-the-art building contains 4 exhibit halls (418,500 square feet), 29 meeting rooms, 2 fixed-seat auditoriums and the 25,700 square feet Georgia Ballroom. Host to spectacular galas and serious keynote addresses, the Georgia Ballroom offers a galleria area and outdoor balcony second to none. The fabulous balcony overlooks the West Plaza, a salute to sports, and the magnificent Georgia Dome. The ballroom comfortably seats 2,000 for dinner and 3,680 in theater-style. The C101 and C102 auditoriums provide an intimate setting for keynote speeches, presentations and ceremonies. C101 offers fixed seating for 396 while C102 has a seating capacity of 225.

Each building has a separate entrance and other amenities - making it easy to host three events simultaneously or one large event that requires 3.9 million total square feet of space. The Georgia World Congress Center is one of the most flexible convention centers in the United States.
